When we don't understand our surroundings, what could we be missing? What we discover when we reconnect with what has always been here can change everything.

My name is Jennifer Johnson. I am a naturalist and guide based in central Ohio, where I've spent a lifetime exploring our local ecosystems, starting with my backyard. The long- retired horse ranch where I grew up has been in my family since the 1970's but is now a wild-tended food forest supporting indigenous species. It was my interest in ancestral skills that led me to explore my surroundings with an ecological lens. This completely transformed how I see the world. As a naturalist, I seek to connect my community and beyond to their local landscapes. I do this through citizen science projects with iNaturalist and through metro parks, collaborations with research scientists, outreach projects, and specialized services that help others how to see the world in a whole new way.Your journey may start in your backyard, but your impact will go even farther. StagPath is here to help. :)
